Backstage: Officials at Carnegie Mellon University and the Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards have announced a new honor to be awarded onstage on Broadway’s biggest night. The Excellence in Theatre Education Award is for inspiring teachers and mentors who discover, develop, and nurture talent in their students.
