Plans outlined for getting Pittsburgh's August Wilson Center back on track

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Three Pittsburgh-area foundations that purchased the August Wilson Center for African-American Culture last month have created a temporary panel to “act as administrator and steward” of the Downtown facility over the next three to six months.

Their goals are to maintain the center’s mission, make it sustainable and win back the public’s trust.

I hope that the August Wilson Center is successful in its goals. I think that winning back the public trust is going to be one of the major issues, since there were so many workers who went unpaid for so long. I think they can mitigate this by making sure everything is done correctly and that everyone is paid what they are owed on time. People will be willing to give it a second chance if it shows it deserves one. I am also interested in how the temporary board will work out. This may be a good solution, since people's ideas on the board can balance each other out. Hopefully they are thinking of fresh ways to bring the life back to this theatre.
