Wynn tips hand on Broadway-style show

Las Vegas Review-Journal: Casino mogul Steve Wynn is a month away from delivering his next big thing — an ambitious Broadway-style production he wrote and titled “Showstoppers.”

The company of 95, including backstage crew, features what he described as “an all-star group of 28 dancers” and a 30-piece orchestra, said Wynn, who confirmed the project in a telephone interview Tuesday.

I think that this is a very interesting concept and looking forward to seeing how it is received by audiences, not necessarily critics. People love the idea of Broadway, and to have a show all about it will be intriguing. Steve Wynn is a titan in Las Vegas and I want to see if his "touch" will work on this show. Le Reve has been fairly successful without having a name attached to it such as Cirque. I think this also raises questions about the future of entertainment in Las Vegas and where it is going, farther away from Broadway or more like it.
