It is so smart of TED to be reaching out to a younger audience, especially when dealing with such a fast paced field like the entertainment industry. By targeting those who, very soon, are going to be pivotal players in the theatre world, they are making sure to have a voice in the next generation, and make sure that the motivations and impacts of these people will be for the positive benefit of the field. I Love that

This is awesome. I've loved TED's other projects like TEDXTeen, but creating a niche for a very specifically passionate subset of young people is very very exciting. TED is a great platform because it provides well researched, interesting information to those who look for it. People who want to know more can learn more, that that couldn't be more important in the budding new generation of theatrical innovators. Theatrical innovators rejoice! The more access that is is available to this information, the more kids will learn that this is a possible direction for their life to take. Good for TED for utilizing this audience.

This is a very good idea in my opinion. Reaching out to a younger audience will keep TED alive. This sounds like an amazing opportunity for someones in the theater. Being able to meet such amazing artist while so young is a great opportunity. This will also make young artist more aware of what has happened before them and what is happening now, which I feel most young generations lack. While I am sure there are some people who are opposed to this idea I am all for it. I can see how some people may not be open to it because they are afraid they will make it less oaf a serious event. I think it will make young artist take their art more seriously.

These days theater has become huge, whether that means being very high tech, tackling serious social issue, or displaying wondrous artistry. There are plenty of instances where new technologies or approaches to creation intricate enough to be tackled by scientists are being invented specifically for theatrical use! It's amazing, and I see Broadway's teaming up with TED as a great way to get theater innovators into the same brain-space. Resources like TED inspire inventiveness and innovation amongst similarly minded creators, thinkers, or storytellers. Imagining the progress that could come of creating this sort dynamic amongst theater artists is really exciting. I really can't wait to learn about what is going on in theater from some of the most inventive minds working in the field.

Being a student I think that it is really smart that TED is continuing to reach out to younger audiences to get them more involved in such a fast changing industry. It is also really good that it gives industry professionals a way to teach the younger generation. TED is also such a great platform to use . I think that it is very smart and helpful that TED is going down this path.

The TEDx platform is really exciting as it allows even more voices to be heard through TED's ever-popular brand. I'm glad Broadway has created it's own TEDx to allow some of the Great White Way's brilliant voices to share their experiences and wisdom. I am also pleased that this is being done with the specific purpose of given up-and-coming professionals an opportunity to be a part of the dialogue. I am curious to know more about the speakers for this year and what kind of socialization being a part of the program entails. The TEDxBroadway website includes many quotes from news press; I'm sure it's an event they are happy to buzz about.
