Okay, yeah. I can't get through this video. This lady seriously needs to get some voice training to get rid of that twang.
SO, in Stagecraft II we've been talking about how crew heads were good or bad. A lot of the reason that they were bad was the fact that they were unprepared. This video addresses it pretty well. If they just ahve use standing around doing nothing, then they are wasting the free labor time that they have at their disposal. Now, if they really don't have anything to do that week, then that is fine, but it is rare that the SOD wouldn't have anything at all that the crew could do. TDs should all watch this video and study it carefully and then apply it to the way that they run crew calls. Then maybe they wouldn't have to call in extra hands to get stuff done right before load in.
