Shakeup at the Pennsylvania Ballet

NYTimes.com: In what looks like a sudden bloodletting occasioned by a recent change of artistic leadership, the Pennsylvania Ballet has dismissed Jeffrey Gribler, who was ballet master, and Tamara Hadley, who was ballet mistress, as well as William DeGregory, who was director of the company’s ballet school and the Pennsylvania Ballet II training company.

I don't understand why the Pennsylvania Ballet has let go of all its experienced directors. I wonder have they replaced them with new, young professionals in an effort to bring youth to the Ballet which may attract a younger audience? Other than that, it makes no sense to let go of the people who have been with them for years and who have brought the Pennsylvania Ballet success.
