New monthly series to spotlight Pittsburgh performers

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: As an artist manager based in Pittsburgh, Linda Reznik knows the depth of talent the city’s performing arts scene has to offer.

But does the public know? And how often do people get an up-close-and-personal chance to see established up-and-coming artists in action in one place?

Ms. Reznik and colleague Jessica Marino, who make up River City Artists Management, are taking steps to aggregate local performers, including dancers, singers and musicians, and present them in new monthly sessions they’re billing as SundaySeries @ PointBreezeway, an intimate studio space situated a few blocks from the junction of Fifth and Penn avenues in Point Breeze. It debuts 2 p.m. Sunday, with showcases also slated so far for September and October.
