Safety Strategy: What Great Leaders Do Well

ProAct Safety: Occasionally, some of the greatest truths in business are found not only in the musings of great business leaders, but also in the creative genius of authors of fiction. Consider the exchange between the characters Alice and the Cheshire Cat of Lewis Carroll's novel, Alice in Wonderland. "'Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat. "I don't much care where–" said Alice. "Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat. "–so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added as an explanation. "Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."'

What this article says about great leaders is right on the mark. Although, not every leader will be great at everything on the list, these qualities and the ability to follow through with the things listed is what creates a great work environment and happy workers. And happy workers will produce good results. Although, one of the biggest things a leader can do is step back, evaluate themselves, improve, and repeat.
