Lord Lloyd-Webber splits theatre group to expand on a global stage

Telegraph: The Really Useful Group, the theatre company wholly owned by composer Lord Lloyd-Webber, has split into two as it chases growth in the Far East through lucrative copyright deals.
Under a demerger, revealed in the company’s latest accounts, the six London theatres owned and managed by the group are now run by Really Useful Theatres (RUT).

This is a really outstanding idea, I am not surprised that they saw an increase in revenue so soon. Shows make a fortune from concert performances, not just Lloyd-Webber. The Les Mis concert a few years ago made a fortune from not just tickets, but the CDs and the all the merchandise, which is a market that can be milked forever and ever so I say, good for RUG. At the same time Lloyd-Webber's shows are still going strong, and are really, really, timeless. Or maybe I just love him.

The big thing that stood out to me in this article is that they refer to andrew lloyd webber, Lord Lloyd-Webber. Thats hilarious, but I dont think its meant to be. Did he change his name, or are they just making a joke. I mean he is great but come on. Anyways, this seems to be a pretty cool idea. Lots of money to be made in many different fashions in this business.
