I am always interested by how companies collect and produce the statistics that accompany their products from calories to strength to photometrics. In some circumstances companies explain their means and I believe this gives them more credibility. It is awesome that Community has committed to their product and an honest sales pitch by creating multiple environments in which they can learn more about their products. I am surprised they use an outdoor testing environment because I would assume this would have extra noise but it sounds like certain tests can only be done in an environment without a defined space. As someone who is not very versed in sound technology, I have little concept of what makes a quality speaker but I am sure someone with more knowledge would really appreciate the wealth of data and understanding a facility like this provides. I would really be interested to see what sort of graphics the engineers create from this data in their analysis.
