Wow, this is terrible. There was clearly horrible communication between the camera crew team and whoever was managing the site that the filming took place in. It seems obvious that some sort of manager or producer would have let the railroad company know about the filming, and the railroad company would have suspended service or rerouted. However, this clearly did not happen. This article was not clear about whether the crew member was or was not supposed to be filming actually on the train tracks. Either way, proper safety precautions were not taken on multiple levels of the production. The producing company should really look at what exactly went wrong in this unfortunate accident and work hard to make sure this never happens again.

Why didn't anyone notify her that the train was coming? Better yet, why didn't anybody realize that a train was coming? Trains are not silent. Trains are not small. I understand that it's nearly impossible to close a portion of a railroad in order to shoot a film. Still, that means that preventative actions must be made and that every precaution should be taken to uphold the safety of the cast and crew. This isn't an unavoidable accident. This is why communication is key. She did not have to die for anyone's inability to do their job.
