Triad Stage, an Actor's Equity professional theatre in
Greensboro, NC seeks a Technical Director for its Mainstage productions and its
30,000 sq. ft. Production Facility. Reporting to the Production Manager,
The Technical Director collaborates with a full time professional staff in the
safe design, construction, installation, and removal of scenery, props, and
other technical elements and re-configuring the theater for Triad Stage's
Mainstage productions and numerous events and rentals. Duties include: managing
scene shop staff; producing budget estimates and construction schedules;
producing and overseeing production of scenery and other technical elements;
aiding in maintaining theater and scene shop. Candidates should have a minimum
of 2 years of experience in theatrical technical direction. BA in technical
theater required, BFA preferred. Requires significant experience in scenic
construction, technical design, stage rigging, and stage electrics; must be
highly proficient in AutoCAD and in management of budgets, schedules,
equipment, and personnel. This is a full time, year round position with
