Hear no, see no, speak no ...ticket fees #FeeFreeFriday

thundertix.com: Ticket fees that equal 67% of the purchase? Has K-pop turned to chaos because of outrageous face-value mark-up? Fee Free Friday is back with those stories and more tales of ticket buyer misery. It seems the ticket industry just wants to pretend they see no evil, hear no, and, when pressed on the issue of the subject of unreasonable per-ticket fees, will speak no evil…

It is really sad to see this kind of phenomenon happening especially when I have experienced this too. This is very financial burdens for teenagers because they are the typical audiences who are eager to go regardless of how much they have to pay. Especially, as addressed in this article, I have no doubt that there has been unscrupulous resell practices for Psy's Gangnam style concert. I once saw my friends selling tickets to this concert way higher than it should be. Although I understand it is their right to set the price, I believe it is such a selfish way since concert is for pure entertaining not for a way to earn money by re-sale. I agree with what Rits are trying to do, enhancing the detection of unauthorized re-sale or re-use, so that one person does not get an advantage of buying all of tickets at once and sell with higher demand. I also don't think this phenomenon is desirable for the performing artist. I believe that there will be certain restrictions and legislation created, but it will be impossible to eliminate every scalper as long as people are still demands ticket even with higher prices.

I think this occurrence is truly a sad thing. It takes away opportunities for so many people. This type of thing happens all over from concert tickets to major sporting event tickets for example look at super bowl tickets selling for thousands of dollars. I think when artists try to sell tickets directly it saves people the hassle of looking for tickets as well as large costs overall.
