The fact that the PigPen boys met with the cast of Peter and the Starcatcher is pretty great. Although I haven't seen The Old Man and The Old Moon, I have seen Peter and the Starcatcher. At least from the pictures I saw of the PigPen production, the two shows certainly have a lot in common, in the best possible ways. Both productions utilize props and set pieces as an outlet to creative, innovative storytelling. I plan to see The Old Man and The Old Moon as soon as I possibly can. Based on the reviews, it seems to be compared to both Peter and the Starcatcher and Once, which are two of my favorite shows on Broadway right now. These photos are also great publicity for PigPen, and it's exciting to see how the Broadway community is supporting PigPen is such a big way.

One hundred characters! That's amazing. That must be a very challenging and rewarding feat. It's cool that this project, which started out as a Plaground piece, has garnered enough attention to get to Broadway. Additionally, it's cool that they have taken on recent graduates (i.e. David Beller) as staff members. I forsee them growing as a company - not just being five boys with instruments and no one else anymore, but still maintain their image. So long as they continue to create genuine art that is there own and don't get caught up in the throes of commercial theatre, I have no doubt they will continue to find the success they have been looking for.
