to hear that it is going to have another season but I am also worried because how long are they going to stretch out the making of Marilyn the musical or what is going to happen in the next season. I hope that it’s not like Glee that started really strong and is now fading. I hope that they continue to make it interesting and do unanticipated things

While this show has become very popular, its a little disappointing in terms of the portrayal of theatre people. Watching this show is only half enjoyable, I enjoy watching for the new songs and the staging of Marilyn the Musical, but the sex and drugs on the side, while it does happen, it feels excessively used. Though this is what makes "good" tv these days.

As someone who watches SMASH I am very happy that there will be a second season. However, I do wish that less of the focus was on the people's sex lives and how sex can play a role in theater. If they are trying to show that theater people have sex they have done a good job with that. Otherwise I'm very interested to see how they recover from loosing a few major leading actors. The new characters look very good, but the story was written with the ones that are now gone in mind. I'm just afraid that it will be come awkward.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what is to come.
