New Works Festival bestows Donna Awards

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: The Pittsburgh New Works Festival announced the winners of its Donna Awards, named for founder, Donna Rae. Having just concluded its 21st year, the annual festival each year debuts a dozen original one-act plays each produced by a different theater company.

Local awards are a great way of recognizing successes that may not have the budget or qualify for larger/national awards! Especially awards one-acts, a less recognized play form. Congrats to all the winners! Hopefully I will be able to attend the festival next year, it sounds really neat.
