'Crimes of the Heart' explores sisterly bonds

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: A crime drama, a few love stories and a family coming back together.Michael Byrne, director of "Crimes of the Heart" opening at Theatre Factory, says the play written by Beth Henley -- which won a 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Drama -- is exceptional on many levels. "There's always something new to find each time you watch the show," says Byrne of Wilkins Township. "It is one of my favorite shows. The chance to direct it and work with an amazing cast and crew was just too good an opportunity to pass up."

Whenever i hear about this show i have to read something on what others think of it. Maybe because it is beth henly or maybe it is because is such a lasting work even though i see it to be a very dry one but it is tried and true example of the female figure in modern theatre, I commonly find myself disinterested in this work and works like it because i am a guy, and it begs the question is that how some women feel about the majority of the Male driven theatre out there. i know many feel that way about Shepard and i always disagree with them.
