I loved that he had the footsteps to defy the limits of gravity and i think that is a great way to sum up his life. He had a great perspective on the world. I also thought the painting of pandoras box was interesting because hope is not something you would associate with it.
Living in Maryland the Chesapeake Bay story reminds me of my own family stories on the bay. When i was younger my brother and I would jet skiing and he would always see what he could do with the jet ski to through me off. He stopped after I started taking him with me.

I think that this is a really nice opportunity to get a glimpse of the life of someone who had such a great perspective and take on everything. I really enjoyed reading the 'The Last Lecture" I think that it is a great book and can make you appreciate life a bit more. However, I think I also think that touring his room is a little creepy. I mean yes, it is cool to see how his creative mind worked even at such a young age. But, it just seems a little unnerving to me, almost like its too soon or something. I mean his kids are still growing up, he only died a few years ago. I think that the book is a great way to remember and to make you appreciate your life a little more, I just feel a little weird looking at his room because I feel more like I am invading his space. Because in association with his book he could have done this before he passed, I dont know it is just odd to me.

I remember reading this section in the novel and reminiscing on my childhood bedroom. A bedroom to a child is such a wonderful opportunity for expression and I'm so appreciative of parents who see that and allow their children to express themselves that way. I am whole heartedly grateful to my parents for the opportunities that they gave me to express myself in my room even up to the days before I left for college. It was such a simple way to show your child that you are not constraining their creativity, something I will always treasure and thank my parents for.
