Quantum creates Argentine cafe for 'Maria de Buenos Aires'

Post Gazette: "It's easier said than done to step off the street in East Liberty, climb a few stairs and find yourself in an Argentine tango cafe. With dancers, of course. Sangria served at the intimate crowd of tables. Singers. A live orchestra.
Three computer screens.

It does seem like quite a challenge to create an Argentine coffeehouse in Pittsburgh and it surprises me that the place they found was an old YMCA. I have yet to see a quantum show but it is high on my list and I may go see this one. I love the idea of found spaces. It can really decrease the aesthetic distance of the production which is one of my favorite types of productions. In another article it mentioned they had sto push back the opening date which is one risk you take with using found spaces but the project is arguably fascinating.
