How to Build Durable Scenery and Props Using Crystal Gel

Rosebrand: "Rose Brand congratulates our second blog contest winner, Gary Duffey. Gary's blog entry described how he created a durable and realistic looking goat for Blame Society Productions of Madison, Wisconsin. The goat needed to be durable enough to withstand a two-story drop.
Here is how HE did it.

I've been wanting to use this product for a little bit now. It seems very useful for creating inexpensive inexpensive sculptures. I would like to try out the claims for it's durability and see what you could actually trust it to do. Especially since they apparently tossed this goat off of a building.

The way in which we use new products such as Rosco's Clear Gel becomes more creative everyday. These products have allowed for a new range of props and other applications that we have stumbled over before. Im excited for SmoothON to come and to attend the workshop to see more applications of plastics and polymers. Learning how to use these products is a big step and a great one for people in theatre.

Yup, we threw it off a two story building twice. Cool stuff.
