Behind the Scenes and Lightrelief are great organizations. I know that most stagehands and designers are covered under their union's health insurance, however, there are many of us who are still uninsured or their insurance won't cover costly procedures. These are two great ways for us to feel more like a community and feel as though we are helping friends we may not know.

I do wish there was more generosity without the notion of the raffle though. While I think its a great way to get people excited and interested, I think that it should just come out of our innate goodness, like the initial donors.
