Actor Bill Pullman still remembers the feeling of being young actor

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Bill Pullman as an 18-year-old auditioning for a college play and Bill Pullman as a 50-year-old auditioning for a Broadway play aren't really all that different.
At 18, Pullman was a college student auditioning for his first role, then taking the long walk down the theater department hallway to find out if he got the part.
At 50, there's Pullman auditioning for a Broadway play, putting his everything into a two-day audition, then heading home to Los Angeles for a long wait to find out if he got the lead.
And even with years of experience and numerous movie roles, Pullman at 50 felt the same way he did as a teen."

I think this goes without saying for all of us in any business really. It's not often that you think about the job you'll be applying for years from now, but you can imagine that the feelings of anxiety and "I could have done better" will be remarkably the same. There's always that excruciating wait to find out if you got the job, or that one person that you think you may have rubbed the wrong way in your interview. It's inevitable, and especially in our business where many of us go from job to job in the course of a month or two, it can get very overwhelming.

I think that Bill Pullman is a very versatile actor which is easy to see by the list of movies that he has been in. I feel as if the article gives good advice because it doesn't matter (like for him) if one is 18 or 50 in this business there is always the anxiety and pressure from one job to the next and that never changes. Even if one is fortunate to have job security for a long time, eventually that person will get bored and want to go for something new and exciting. I think Bill Pullman is a fantastic actor and this was a helpful article to see the perspective of a person that has been in the business for so long.
