Rockettes bring 'Christmas Spectacular' to Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Success in the performing arts brings calls for encores. But it's taken four years to get the Rockettes back to Pittsburgh after they were a big hit here, not surprisingly, in 2005.
'It's definitely the same amazing show we brought before, but every year there are little changes. Everyone should come down to see if they can spot them. But there won't be a quiz,' dancer Kristina Larson jokes."

O the Rockettes. Just personally for me, this is the most overrated show ever. If you want a Christmas show go see the Transiberian Orchestra - that's an amazing experience. the Rockettes are really pretty boring aside from their pretty high kicks ...i've seen them twice and they were the same both times. Not to mention one girls high heel flew off during the kicks. That was probably the most entertaining part of the show.

Aw, I love the Rockettes, I understand where Mary is coming from. But I think that the reason I love the Rockettes is because they are a classic. Like it was said in the article, the numbers are relatively the same since forever. And thats what I like, the consistency and tradition of it. Because then some little girl who dreams of growing up and being a Rockette will always have that connection to their predecessors. It also is such a staple of Christmas time. Though I do have to admit that I have seen TSO as well, and they are great, but thats like comparing walnuts and cherries, both are good shows in their own right but are completely different
