NEA punts Women’s Project

Time Out New York: "“My moral-outrage meter just went sky high.”
That was Julie Crosby, producing artistic director of the Women’s Project today, after hearing that the National Endowment for the Arts—now with new leadership and swelling funds!—wouldn’t be funding the Women’s Project Playwrights Lab this year."

I wonder what other theatre projects are suffering because of the NEA's new policies. I think it is very sad and absolutely ridiculous to deny funding to certain theatrical events. Where is all this money going to go? To make Broadway musical remakes of movies even flashier and less relevant? I want to know what is going to be done about this. Hopefully something will happen to combat this new outrageous stance on general theatre.
