Nemetschek NA Releases Vectorworks 2010

PLSN: "Nemetschek North America announced the 2010 release of their Vectorworks line of design software, including: Designer, Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Machine Design, Fundamentals, and Renderworks.
Building upon the integration of the Parasolid 3D modeling core in 2009, version 2010 is geared to making changes easier with the addition of bi-directional associativity features and a 3D modeling environment. These capabilities are included to help make sure that changes are reflected throughout the entire design."

i have worked with vector works and it is an amazing program for lighting. i was never trained on it but i have seen people that have been trained on it and they can do the most amazing things on it. the addition i am shur that they will make the program that more amazing and better that is what it seems like form the article.. i just love the way it worked for lighting design and that has a free version for students is even more cool that you can get it for free as a student. so i am shur that the things they did for the 2010 version will make it even more awesome.

I have been a loyal VW user for about 6 years now and really love what the program has done for the industry. However, I feel that since they have a partial monopoly that they tend to care less about what users want. I have found, particularly with the last few releases, that the system is unstable and there are certain stupid things that should be fixed. I often find myself wishing Nemetschek would worry less about flash and more about building a stable system.
