Microsoft Project 2010 Promises Significant Improvement

WebWorkerDaily: "Microsoft Project is frustrating. Although it’s still a very good planning and project management tool, it’s tricky for non-PM professionals to get the hang of, and it hasn’t seen any significant updates in a very long time — while its (mainly online) competitors have been improving apace. Hopefully, that frustration should be eased next year, when Project 2010 is launched. Project 2010, officially announced today at the Microsoft Project Conference in Phoenix, looks like it will include significant improvements to the user experience, coupled with better integration with other Microsoft products."

I hadn't heard of this software before this article. I did a little poking around to see what the software offers, and it does look like it could be very useful software. It is a program that has the potential to be confusing, and counter-productive, if the user does not know how to properly use it. With this new improvement coming out, I hope Microsoft does stay true to their word and provide the user with help aides in the program, as well as some easier navigation of the program in the layout of the design. Another concern I have with this program is the formatting of it. How are you supposed to share your information with others if they are not running Microsoft Project as well? I'm not sure how many people actually use this program, but from what the article alludes to, not many do. Hopefully there will be some way in which the information can be easily shared between different programs and users.
