AWESOME!!! I have been waiting for a book or a course or SOMETHING that will give me the serious electrical background that I'm looking for when it comes to theater. As much as I understand power systems as they pertain to theater, I am always pining for a knowledge about the inner workings of equipment, control protocols, etc. I am really looking forward to the release of this book and will purchase it ASAP.

Ditto what Jeremy said! This is great. I understand and completely agree that stage electricians really ought not to default themselves as "real" electricians, but having the background and some education in the matter is good. I just hope some of the less intelligent squints don't take this and run with it too much thinking they can rewire things in their houses :/ I'm really anxious to look at this book though. Too bad I'm broke--can I borrow your copy, Jeremy?

This is good news. Our industry often fails to spread information very widely, and especially as standards and code from the outside world brush with theatre we could use some concrete information.
