Broadway Goes Existentialist With ‘Waiting for Godot’ and ‘Exit the King'

NYTimes.com: "“Waiting for Godot”
HERE he comes again. Or rather, here he doesn’t come again. And it is just possible that in the silence of his nonarrival this year, theatergoers who never knew his name, or haven’t thought about him in ages, may hear the sound of their own troubled thoughts quite clearly. Is Broadway finally ready to worship Godot?"

I like how in the article they said its important to do these plays now because we should examine life stripped bare. Its an interesting statement that I agree with. With all the complications occurring in the world right now, I think it would be beneficial to take a step back and examine life at its core.

I'm rather excited to see "Waiting for Godot" with Nathan Lane and Bill Irwin. I think that it is quite interesting that both the West End and Broadway are featuring revivals of the same show at the same time (with rather distinguished actors, I might add).

Mad props to the Brits.
