Hollywood Wants Internet Providers to Block Copyrighted Files
NYTimes.com: "Now, there are signs that one topic next year will be whether I.S.P.’s should analyze traffic to block trading of copyrighted files. At least, Hollywood appears to be preparing for that debate. And it is trying to get allies among technology companies and artist groups."

It seems that ever since I can remember this has been somewhat of an issue. I think younger generations sometimes have trouble understanding the impact of technology in terms of intellectual property and how much money is really lost to the creators, as well as the producers, by downloading and illegal file traffic on the internet. During her visit on Thursday, Paula Wagner really put this in perspective by saying that art and commerce cannot exist without each other, especially in the film business, in today's world. So, this kind of problem really has a huge impact on how things progress from here on out.
