Carnegie Mellon Announces Public Phase of Comprehensive $1 Billion Campaign Targeted to Endowment, Future Growth

Carnegie Mellon University: "'This campaign will shape the university's future. This campaign has already enabled more innovation at Carnegie Mellon, and it will inspire more in the future,' said Jared L. Cohon, president of Carnegie Mellon."

I appreciate Cohen's comment,
"People are hurting and it's not a good time to be asking for money. We understand that," he said by phone. "We went ahead despite that because we take a long-term view."

Bullshit. If CMU understands how tough of a time it is, perhaps they should stop calling parents of currently enrolled students to ask for money. They'd probably save money in the long run by not paying students $10 an hour to call current undergrad parents who, by all means, should say absolutely not.
