Thugs, Nerds Rumble in Berkeley Rep's Nightmare `Yellowjackets'
Bloomberg.com: Muse Arts: "High school is a horror show for most kids, and Itamar Moses's new drama ``Yellowjackets'' captures a lot of it, from the inanity of the classroom to the physical risk of muggings or worse."

This sounds like a great play. It would be nice to go see it and be able to relate it to my time at high school. I think the play attempts to attract a younger audience or at least inform an older audience on the changes in high school today. I am sure the play does make some things, like fights and bullies to more extremes than is usual, but that is the role of some dramas.
From the description, it almost feels like the play is a live version of the afternoon shows aimed at kids who were almost teenagers, shows like Saved by the Bell. I think this is a great idea since it falls into the "plots so terrible they're good" category of work which I love so much. Like Natelie mentioned, the play probably puts some of the plays situations to extremes for the sake of entertainment, but that probably just adds to the humor of the show.
Wìth God behind you and His arms around you... you can face whatever is ahead of you...
may God's loving arms carry you always near His heart. Good Day!
