Sewing a perfect 3-D corner (for a cube)
Instructables: "I have always had trouble making tidy corners for 3-D sewing projects. Since I worked out this technique I thought I'd share; it works well on heavier fabrics and for projects like fabric baby blocks where it really shows if you fudge the corner."

I love how something so seemingly simple as sewing a cube can be seen as a 3-d building project. It's also interesting that this is linked to theatrical design. I see it more than just costumes but draperies in general. For example a modern stage setting might require some sort of square couch system and this is an absolutely clear and logical approach to making the required cushions. More than the content I think the fact that the internet makes forums like this available is immensely helpful. Now it is relatively easy to gather ideas and tips and tricks about various projects not only in sewing but in any area of design.
