This is an extremely exciting event. I can't wait to see the city transformed by lighting. I think the Festival of Lights is a creative way to celebrate the city and the arts collaboratively, all the while attracting people's attention. This is definitely going to focus a lot of attention of Pittsburgh, which I'm sure is one of the main goals, so I can see the Festival of Lights being a large success.

The last festival of lights was received well. Seeing the transformation on a much larger scale will be great. One thing I didn't like during the last festival was that office lights inside the buildings were on, distorting the projections. Hopefully that will happen less this time around.

I am so excited for this! The Festival of Lights is unique in that it provides a wonderful art form of its own, while also accentuating buildings around Pittsburgh and hightening attention towards the arts in the city. And...the stuff looks really awesome! I'm eager to find time and go see this and hope it is well received.

I live close to a little town that has the most elaborate Christmas light displays. Houses become little north poles and may favorite is this one house that creates the illusion that one huge Christmas tree is going through all five floors of the house (did I mention this is a very rich neighborhood). This sounds like it is going to be like that but at a gigantic scale of the entire city! If so, I am so exciting. The contrast of light against dark is one of the most effective and effecting contrasts possible, and I am so excited to get to see it!

This is really cool. I didn't know that they where even planing a festival of light. After doing to arts fest and getting to know downtown better, I think this might be something i'll need to see. The scale of it must be massive for it to be billed as the largest of it's kind. I can't wait to see it.

This sounds really cool, I am excited to see the lighting that comes into Oakland and around the cathedral of learning. the restaurant thing sounds pretty cool as well. I like the things that have to do with events around Pittsburgh, though sometimes I don't always have tome to do them. It feels like I know about the things that are happening right here where I live.

You know, before I came to CMU, people kept on telling me Pittsburgh was a really cool town -- it was starting to do really interesting things. I took it with a grain of salt. Pittsburgh IS really cool town!

This type of large scale, temporary installation art always fascinates me. The amount of time and energy that goes into such an event is massive, especially city wide. I can't even imagine where they are getting all the equipment from, much less how they are going to to control the whole show scattered all over the city.

As much as I'm planning on going to to downtown to see the large 'scapes, I'm also really happy to know that they will be extending it to Oakland this year. It will be great to walk out of Purnell at night and see a totally transformed skyline.

This seems like something truly amazing and breath taking. The idea of the whole city being changed by lighting is really awesome. I can't wait to go see all the lights. I don't think I have ever really seen something like this so it should be quite interesting.
