The Greeks Hoist the Theatrical Flag of Scotland

NYTimes.com: "The idea of Scotland’s right to a national theater surfaced at least a century ago during a cultural independence movement. After a separate Scottish Parliament was elected in 1999, the issue rose to the top of the arts agenda again. In February 2006 the National Theater of Scotland commenced, with the young director Vicky Featherstone as chief executive, the even younger director John Tiffany as associate director and several other well-known theater innovators on board."
