'Chaperone' takes modern look at old-time musical

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "If 'The Drowsy Chaperone' sounds like a musical your great-grandmother might have enjoyed in her youth, you would be both right and wrong.
It's a completely new musical with a score of original tunes that pays loving homage to song-and-dance shows from the 1920s and '30s such as 'No, No, Nanette,' 'Oh, Kay,' 'Flying High' and 'Girl Crazy.'"

I saw the Drowsy Chaperone in new york and i loved it to death. It was very fresh and the actors were spot-on. I thought the humor was very well played, and the design was beautiful. It was my second Broadway show, and it was definitely worth the ticket prices. I suggested it for my mom and her friend and I when we were there last year. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it and enjoys musicals. If you don't like musicals, however, you probably won't like this one.

I know that this was proposed as a senior thesis for next year, and I think it could be kinda fun for CMU to do. I dont know if we really have the cast for it, but who knows...it could be really interesting.
