World's Largest Drill Bit Is Pretty Big, I Guess

Geekologie:

"The world's largest drill bit was put to use last month boring a subway tunnel in Leipzig, Germany. This is it. As you can see it's relatively large. Not huge, but pretty big. For a drill bit."

TBM's are, in fact big, although not exactly drill bits. While the machine is interesting, this article (and site) seems to offer little to no useful information and an equally bad discussion. However, the wooden bike that was linked to is pretty cool.
