Talks Adjourned in Broadway Strike

New York Times: "Bruce Cohen, a spokesman for the union, said: “We are closer than we were twelve hours ago but not close enough to have a deal.”"

Okay, so apparently the only thing on the blogspot is the same article about the negotiations. Anyway, I'm glad that a formal setting has been established in the negations and hopefully this will lead to a quicker resolution, especially with the holidays just around the corner. I understand that a point need to be made and a strike is a powerful way to do it, but now that you have the attention of producers, could they not all return to work and let the negations continue to take place? If it looks like the producers are stalling with the negotiation then strike again. With all these new ideas and demands in motion, time is needed and with everyone out of work it's just adding more pressure to a piss poor negotiation or leaves everyone disappointed in the actions followed. Sure, the union may have gotten its way (probably will), but they let the city down and audience members.
