NYC Unveils New Film Permit Proposal

Backstage: "The New York Mayor's Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting announced its redrafted production permit and insurance rule proposal, four months after an outcry of protest over their original proposal led them back to the drawing board."

I hate that NYC is doing this. A lot of filmmakers don't have the power or money to get permits. Whle I know this doesn't effect that many people it bothers me that they are making people get permits now. If you live in the city you have the right to part of it if you want to make art in it you shouldn't have to get a permit to do it. A lot of filmmakers have limited time and money to make films so they shouldn't be limited at what they get to do in that time limit.
