It's really good to hear some good news about him. He is a great resources for our school. I think he is dealing with his medical conditions very nicely. I am very inspired by his mental strength and ability. I hope he could live longer to continue inspiring more students with his great insights.

I haven't gotten a chance to read all the way through his lecture yet, but I've heard wonderful things about it and how inspiring it is. It's wonderful that he's doing better, but what really caught my eye was the name of the article. I don't know why you would ever name an article something that seemingly cold and insensitive. It's just such a weird name for an article, I feel like.

Wow, I don't know who he is but that's really exciting that we have a professor who was on Oprah. At first when I read the title of this I thought that this professor's health really shouldn't be everyone's business but i guess since he sounds like he is such an important man it's good that he is getting better and everyone can know. I think this title is also really cliche for an American news title.

wow his lecture was really inspirational. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0aO64aKqek

i recommend everyone watch it.
I just wish i could have attended his lecture series in person and he is just an amazing person even if i only know his name and that he only has a few more months to live. It's a pity it is his time to go so early.

This is incredible to see that this man is given what appears to be a gift of time which he seemed to find so precious. I havn't seen the speech but my classes have had discussions about it and if I recall correctly, the reason he gave this speech in particular was as a tribute and a lasting piece for his kids who are too young to remember him. Now that his tumors are gone, though I am not sure how much time he has, a precious gift of time with his family has been given to him and that is incredible...

This is such wonderful news. I haven't gotten the chance to hear his lecture either - but I've only heard wonderful upon wonderful things about him - and his lecture as well. Hopefully the good news will keep increasing and he gets to live a longer life and enjoy the rest of his time with his family.

I was really sad when I was able to make the speech that he gave here, but I'm glad to hear this news that he may have longer to live....or perhaps the luck that he may pull through. I haven't quite had the time to download the speech he gave yet, but I'm really looking forward to it, when I get the chance.

Reading this article you see just how black and white this seems to people. "Dying CMU Professor" Its hard to imagine that as being a title to describe anyone, and yet I am sure he hears it all the time. The ability to hear that and know it is describing you, and then continue to live your life as best as you know how truly defines the word strength. Even as the media portrays his situation as if they were talking about some sick zoo animal, he continues to be an inspiration to so many of us.
