Did Critics Think The Letter was First Class?
Theatre.com: "Somerset Maugham’s 1927 play The Letter has been revived at the West End’s Wyndham’s Theatre, with a cast led by Jenny Seagrove as a suspected murderess and Anthony Andrews as her defence lawyer. Did Maugham's tale of death, deceit and sultry intrigue among the oh-so-British colonial inhabitants of 1920s Malaya inspire critics to write love letters to the production?"
