Has Your Fire Burned Low?

lifehack.org: "Sometimes it feels as if life is against you. Nothing works as it should. The people around you seem distant, preoccupied, and indifferent to you and your interests. There are constant hassles and upsets. Whatever enthusiasm you once had has burned to gray, barely-flickering embers. You have little energy and feel like giving up."

I HATE that feeling. I think it often happens when you've been working too long and too hard. When you haven't been out on a Friday night in so long you can't even remember when the last time it was. I can usually recognize when i'm going into gray mode, and pull myself out of it with a quick shopping fix or a chat with my friends from home.

I think I read this three times. Its not that I discovered anything particularly new, but it was really nice to see an article written about normal feelings that everyone goes through, and still wind up feeling alone. I think I really needed to see this, especially today, it really helps to think about it, and how to feel better.

good ideas, but its hard to do when you barely have enough time to get what you need to done on time. but yes, its been helpful to find out that other people are feeling exactly the same way that i am

This is EXACTLY what I needed to read right now. Something to bring back my focus to what is important in my life. Also what is healthy for me. I realized last night that I have no sleep cycle anymore. And I did everything I could to try and get myself back on track. There is no way someone could survive this program if they did not take care of themselves first. We are working up stream here, and if we don't have the strength to keep up, then we'll get washed away.

These are nice thoughts but overall there are times when you just have to ride it out or this just isn't something that is going to put that kind of a spark back in. To each their own.
