Theater closes doors

Variety.com: "After ailing for years, the Jean Cocteau Repertory Theater has breathed its last. Reps have announced that the company has disbanded and vacated the Bouwerie Lane Theater, its East Village home since 1974."

It's such a shameful loss to hear about the old theater that are not finacially protected by the people and the government. With such aesthetic values, the national funding must play a role in activating the market more effectively.
