The Producers: That's A Wrap

Forbes.com: "'The Producers' has decided to call it quits after more than 2,500 performances at the St. James Theatre in New York. Ironically, the very good play about a very bad play fundamentally changed the pricing structure of tickets to major Broadway productions."

As much of a shame as it is that it's closing I can't wait to see Young Frankenstine brought to the stage. It really is a shame that they would bring tickets to such a high price because it has redirected the way that everyone prices their shows. It helps on the path of putting theater out of reach of people who might explore it and fall in love with it.

its alwys sad to see a great show close...but that means we can look forward to the next big thing to replace its void...young frankenstein is already highly anticipated....a great way to open a show...and hey, theres always the chance of a revival?

It was about the time to say goodbye to the Producers. If the show like the Producers starts falling, the decisions have to be made quickly. Well, I guess it had to do with choosing the Mel Brook's production as the next show. It's all about being safe in the Broadway.
