The ONE Campaign

Everyone,

The one campaign is THE campaign to end global poverty and AIDS, with a special focus on Africa. It is a wonderful campaign - the focus is not on donations but rather on harnessing your "voice" as an advocate. They have made great strides in fulfilling both aspects of their mission, and have received great support from artists. Many actors, directors, and filmmakers from across the nation have participated. This is your chance to help.

The ONE campaign launched this video and we are now going to recreate it.

We have decided to re-shoot the ONE campaign video using teachers, staff, and students throughout the School of Drama and Carnegie Mellon Community.
We will shoot it on a few Sundays in the light lab and it will take no more than 5 minutes of your time. Please join us in helping this wonderful cause.

Liz Bradley, Michael Chemers, J. Ball, Lydia Fine, Jon Brence, and myself are all working together to put on a benefit for the ONE Campaign and the SOWETO Township out reach program run by South Africa's Market Theatre. (This initiative was created by John Kani during his leadership as artistic director of the Market Theatre.)

Americans have an unprecedented opportunity, we can make history, we can make poverty history. One by one by one.

Thank you,

Justin Masterson

i have been in contact with this organization and we are looking to do some work together in the future. Their Campaign is very similar to F.I.R.E. (Fueling Inspiration Revolving Earth) in that we are using the subversive power of art to present the issues in the world that need attention. these issues are not "their" problem, they are "our" problem, we are one human family. everyone should help out on this, it is a wonderful opportunity to help a wonderful cause. it is five minutes of your time that can forever affect the future.
