`Monologues' is moving off Notre Dame campus

Chicago Tribune: "'The Vagina Monologues,' which avoided being banned from the University of Notre Dame last year, won't be performed on campus this year because student planners couldn't get an academic sponsor."

It's really refreshing to realize that we are in academic environments surrounded with full academic sponsors. But it feels like that's the reason why all of us are not as desperate to bring more audience to the theater.

I guess we should find the balance in between.

Can I just say that every time someone says "the article is gone" or "we can't see the article" that I click on it and it pops right up?

Well, maybe I won't say it.

Sometimes you have to register for the site to see an article, but I don't post anything you have to pay to see except for Variety, and I will give you that userid and password offline.

I can see the article...

It would have been pretty ironic if Notre Dame hadn't been allowed to perform the Vagina Monologues because of the religious beliefs of some people. I think I've started taking the open-mindedness of this place for granted quite a bit. We can go just about as controversial as we please, but no one is going to tell us not to do something....
