I’m glad that prejudice against young performs is becoming less of an issue. So many people think that you have to have years of training in order to really be able to perform, but sometimes that’s not the case. My friend Michelle became the understudy for Tracy in Hairspray and that same day flew home for her high school graduation. Sometimes, fresh faces are needed, and talent lies in some of the less seasoned performers. I think it keeps things interesting.
