Shy and sincere

TheStar.com: "She was accepted by Carnegie Mellon University and began in the fall of 2000, looking back on those years as 'the most amazing experience of my life,' even though she admitted that 'it was so difficult I almost left about 20 times. Our teachers always expected the best from us and so we learned how to provide it.'"

it's always good to hear our alum well. especially one that is so young. it's always godo to know that we're in good standing and that all of the hard work will eventually pay off.

I am always encouraged when I hear about sucesses from alumni. It leaves me to believe that I too will leave CMU to be sucessful, although not staring in a musical, sucessful in the industry non the less

It's great to hear from succesful graduates how much CMU has helped them in accomplishing their goals--even if the appreciation comes in hindsight. And I love that Megan credits her success to the liberation of being overhead as well.

This is another look at the lecture topic of Monday, with that 110% thing.
If you are constantly being pushed further and harder what happens?
As an artist...do you grow and develop your skills?
As a technician...do you burnout? or do you learn to love it?

However the right time and right place bit does make a lot of sense. If the school can get you there and get you in, why not put up with busting your ass for four years?

Unless of course you have something against irreversible psychological damage....wuss
