Production Planning - Calendar Assignment

Questions:

I have some questions about the season calendar assigment.

Do we consider also the summer academic period or just fall/spring?

Do the staff work during Christmas break or they are supposed not to work during that month (like students)?

I don´t understand what you mean with:
- Three (3) Junior Performance Projects
- Two (2) x 2 New Works (is it then 4???)
- One (1) x 3 Grad 1 Acts

These terms don´t have templates. How long should they be then?

In the Production Schedule Templates, we find "Min. Support Prod". What does it mean?

Do we consider academic 06-07 dates or 07-08? You say "a season production calendar on one page for our typical production season as it will fall in academic 06-07" but the link to the hub refers to 07-08...

Some answers...

Normally we do not schedule work to happen during the summer. If you feel you have to do so to make your calendar work, then you will need to explain why and list that scheduling decision as one of the "unfortunate compromises" you were forced to make.

Although staff do not get the entirety of break as vacation, productions of the School of Drama do not proceed without students.

Reversing your next two:

"min. Support Prod." Means "minimally supported production"

Some of the minimally supported productions are:

o The Junior performance projects - there are three minimally supported shows that happen in a block in this project.

o The "New Works" of which there are four and they happen in pairs.

o The "Grad 1 Acts" of which there are three shows that happen in a block together in the calendar.

Please use 07-08 dates.
