New job: Theatre Artisan/Designer

New Conservatory Theatre Center, a not-for-profit organization, seeks versatile Theatre Artisan/Designer: Duties include scenic design, construction and painting. Sound, lights or costume design a plus. Must be able to execute, and understand technical blueprints. The TA is part of a 3 person in-house Technical Team that also shares maintenance of theatre facilities, all shops, lobby, theatres, dressing rooms, etc.; pre-show tech supervision duties; ongoing production maintenance; production load-in and strike; supervise stage managers; guest designer support services; and youth programs tech support.

Qualifications: B.A in theatre arts preferred. Be able to work with diverse artistic, ethnic, youth, and LGBT communities; ability to lift 50 lbs; have a valid CA drivers license.
