Carnegie Mellon Unveils Plans for New Gates Center for Computer Science
Wow. Big Plans. Certainly going to be affecting Purnell pretty heavily. Looks like the lobby sunset view might never be the same. Also, the walkway from the Purnell lobby entrance to the new building will be high-traffic, it seems. Maybe even a bit treacherous too...
It is fortunate that demolition was able to wait till school-year traffic is at a minimum. No loading dock access during the past semester would have killed us.
Oh well, exciting stuff. Too bad most of us won't be around to see it open and working. Guess it's a reason to come back.
